JOB & WORK ORDER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Developed a job tracking system for building security contractor in Burbank CA. The application manages nearly all non-financial aspects of the business. Systems include tracking of installation projects, trouble calls, alarm monitoring, preventive maintenance, purchasing, scheduling, estimating, job costing and inventory control. It produces sales contracts, work orders, invoices, purchase orders and numerous other reports to manage the complete operational side of the business. The application was built over the course of 4 years from scratch in an effort to wean the operation off more cumbersome Excel and paper-based systems and create a platform for process improvement.
DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Developed a comprehensive system for tracking manufacturing SOPs and job training for a commercial printer/DVD manufacturer in Glendale and Commerce CA. The system was developed to comply with quality system requirements and the ISO 9001 standard. The application was adopted by 4 sister facilities before I resigned to pursue real estate development. I developed numerous other smaller applications in support of improvement team problem solving activities, oversight of the quality system including KPIs and thwarting Y2K threats to vulnerable production systems. The company took over maintenance of the system with their own internal IT resources.
LEAD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Developed a system to manage leads in support of the marketing function by a mortgage brokerage in Los Angeles CA. The application uploaded market leads from a downloaded Excel file and distributed them to loan officer PCs so they could complete the lead profile in an efficient manner.
REAL ESTATE TREND TRACKER
Developed application to track real estate trends and report recent sales by neighborhood for a real estate brokerage in Long Beach CA. Prior to Zillow, this was a handy application to see local real estate trends on the internet. The application posted reports to the company website for promotional purposes.
SALON TRACKER
Developed a Point of Service system --a touch screen application for tracking salon business product sales for Beauty Products Retailer in Westminster CA. The application generates receipts, purchase orders, inventory reports and distributor pricelists.
MARKET TIMER
Developed a stock market timing application for a private investor client who did not like the complexity of maintaining multiple MS Excel spreadsheets with macros. The application gives a simple user interface for keeping a log of stock and option trades and entering stock index data to generate trading signals based on a very complex algorithm. The need for Excel spreadsheets was eliminated.
