Xcaret Software offers custom database application development with Microsoft Office Access ®, a relational database management system for simple to complex stand-alone PC or multi-user network applications. The advantage of building an application with Access is that it permits rapid development and deployment of a business application at low cost. All the applications we develop are forms-based so that absolutely no user knowledge of MS Access is required. We are passionate about hiding the complexity of the application and keeping the user interface simple and elegant.

Access does have limitations. It is not really designed for a large number of users or across separate domains. Generally, 12 users in the same geographical location is a safe limit. Fortunately, however, no software needs to be purchased for users to run the application. Later, after testing, piloting or continued growth, Xcaret can upsize the application to a full SQL server version to support a greater number of simultaneous users to sustain performance.

Even better, we can make it interface with an Access front end so you can have a relational database behind the scenes. Many of our clients have dropped pay-per-month services for simple content management they could be doing with SharePoint at no monthly cost and with better performance.
